The Recyclers is a family owned business, founded by Jim Calhoun back in 1989. Jim and Gus met in 2003 at a state sale and became good friends; a few years later, in 2007, they became business partners.

Jim and Gus’s goal was clear: reduce, reuse and recycle all waste and unwanted items as much as possible by keeping it out of our landfills.
‍

Since then, they have dedicated their lives to their community, earning their customers trust by providing safe, responsible and economical recycling and disposal services. This could not be possible without the support from local charities and recycling centers.

Jim retired back in 2020, but he remains part of the team behind the scenes. Today, Gus, along with his nephews, Asahel and Jared, as well as his sister Ambar and long-time friend Billy, seek to provide the best green service to Lane County, OR.
